GI Joe
Adventure Team Jeep

This is a Formative International 1:6 scale Soldiers of the World Jeep. This one has an unusual purpose. It is bright yellow not in order to make it easy to incorporate it as an Adventure Team vehicle. It was used in war time at airports for aircraft to follow the jeep. The bright yellow color is for visibility. Known as a "Follow-Me" Jeep, it is perfect for the Adventure Team totally by coincidence. Lucky or me!

The black highlights are my doing. The canopy, the windshield, the black spotlight and side handles were all yellow to begin with.

Note the fire extinguisher at the back. My addition. The Adventure Team needs to be safe.

Here, the Commander put the cloth top down to reveal the interior.

The commander thought that the black windshield would make a more dramatic contrast than the original yellow. Likewise some side details.

You'll note the slight white discoloration on the hood. Stupid me. I used paint thinner to remove the letters "U.S.A." and the thinner scarred the plastic.

Nothing anti-American, it's just that the Adventure Team is an internationally-based organization, and I wanted to ensure that the vehicles reflect this fact.

Here, the Commander has put the windshield down. Dale, his dalmation stands next to him as he puts the vehicle in gear..

A tool kit can be seen next to the rear seat on one side, a fire extinguisher on the other. More of my additions.

Here, the black cloth top is in its folded position.

I painted a military green gas tank bright red to fit in with the Adventure Team theme.

This is a side view of the Jeep with the top up to show the profile.

This angle affords a decent view of the large AT logo on the hood, though the angle does not permit the words "Adventure Team" to show clearly.

Here, the Commander drives away with Dale at his side.

He's proud of the new Adventure Team Jeep.
