Tonight, I risked the old method of formatting the Micro SD card to see if that would work because I was itching to print again.<\/p>\n<p>I printed this topographical model of Mount Everest in a 7cm square block.<\/p>\n<p>This print, in Octave black (which tends to be shiny), did not end properly, but at least it did not end catastrophically, with the head damaging the print. I was able to shut down the printer before anything bad happened.<a href=\"http:\/\/www.huxter.org\/words\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/mount-everest-in-black.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-177\" alt=\"mount-everest-in-black\" src=\"http:\/\/www.huxter.org\/words\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/mount-everest-in-black.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"487\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.huxter.org\/words\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/mount-everest-in-black.jpg 600w, http:\/\/www.huxter.org\/words\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/mount-everest-in-black-369x300.jpg 369w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>AS<\/em><\/strong><em> <\/em><strong><\/strong>this print was being made, Afinia updated their site, putting V1.19 of the software up, which promises a fix.<\/p>\n<p>I immediately printed a filament clip (that fits on the edge of a reel, so the filament can be clipped to it when not in use.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>SUCCESS!<\/strong> The print ended perfectly!<\/p>\n<p>I am now printing another thing, to be talked about later.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Update:<\/strong> I have since printed three things successfully, each item finishing perfectly, with no further glitches.
