Qui Gon Jinn calmly leads his padawan into the fray. The young Obi Wan Kenobi follows serenely and determinedly.

Vague reference to the Jedi Knights, including an unforgivably bad pun. Young Obi Wan is seen here for the first time. Qui Gon's face is also visible for the first time.

The wall forms a T-intersection here. Luckily I had lots of these packing forms. Obi Wan follows... Qui Gon takes the lead and prepares to attack.

Here, we see the Jedis' Light Sabers, ready, but not activated. Here, we see the Jedis' Light Sabers, ready, but not activated. Here, we see Obi Wan's head, hood off. Qui Gonn's long hair is visible above his dropped hood.

Bright red lighting sure makes this great Alien look menacing! Nickelodeon GAK dripping down from the genetically mutated alien sure adds to its menace!

In this part of the hallway, deep red light indicates a disused part of the complex. The Light Saber effect is superimposed upon clear plastic blades that come with the figures. A Photoshop blur effect is added. The Light Saber effect is superimposed upon clear plastic blades that come with the figures. A Photoshop blur effect is added. I think one of these light sabers should be blue... oh well... Vwing is the sound Professor Frink makes when verbally reinacting a scene from Star Wars at the Springfield Bi-Mon Sck-Fi Con in a great episode of The Simpsons. Professor Frink mutters, "Right, step away foolish amateurs, just keep back, keep out of it. The role is mine with the acting and the groupies and the "Luke, Luke, save me" with the lightsabre and the vwing, vwing, vwing."

Here, Obi Wan and Qui Gonn go nuts with lightsabers. The trails came from a photo a co-worker took of two of my other co-workers having a toy light saber battle in our office. I simply cut it out and superimposed it into this shot.

The Commander and Hicks wait with bated breath.... Surely these monks can handle a few renegade genetic aliens!

A famous line from Yoda, 900 year old Jedi Master in The Empire Strikes Back. Standard Jedi greeting... Not quite the farewell spoken by a Jedi, methinks... Obi Wan is propped up by a common pen, making a tripod of his two legs. Qui Gonn is propped up by a common pen. I was careful not to allow its shadow to get into the shot. Light sabers still in hand, despite their ineffectiveness. Light sabers still in hand, despite their ineffectiveness.

Styimed, the Commander and Hicks stare as the monks fly past.

Previous Page | Next Page Sconces are made of plastic easter-eggs, the rounded half, cut in half, painted silver inside, green outside. The silver is meant to diffuse light upward. GENETRIX - just a random name to imply genetic research. Though the picture doesn't show it, the X is a double helix of atomic spheres. Light flare looks like something from Photoshop or Lightwave, but is actually how it appeared. Behind the sconce is a TapLight light. The moulding is plastic wall moulding painted semi-matte black. Details on its construction can be found on the "Behind the Scenes" page. Click here to see how it was constructed. This is a model of the Pulse Rifle from the movie Aliens. It was part of a "Hicks vs. Aliens" 12" figure set produced by Kenner around 1997. This is a Classic Collection GI Joe with the head of Corporal Hicks, wearing the Marine outfit that came with the "Hicks vs. Aliens" toy set. Click here to see a larger picture of the set in its box. It seems that the last, best hope of the galaxy was not exactly the last hope... Throughout the shoot, Hicks' stickers kept peeling from his armor... These stickers peeled, probably because my daughter gave them to me, and she had probably used them and peeled them, making some of the glue only tacky, not very sticky.
