This is the rear loading door of Turbine's old offices. Using forced perspective, I made it look sized correctly for these 1 foot tall figures. About six hours has passed since this story began. The three surviving Marines wait outside for the Adventure Team to come to the rescue. The MSV was propped up on a box to allow for a good forced perspective shot, making it look like the vehicle is scaled to match the building.

This is the rear loading door of Turbine's old offices. Using forced perspective, I made it look sized correctly for these 1 foot tall figures. The Commander is seen here shaking hands with Hicks, despite saying they should make their introductions inside. The next shot shows another handshake. This was a clear continuity error. The AT II Experimental is superimposed into the shot because originally it looked pretty bad. I used this shot to cover up a clumsy shot of the cab.

More of the computer packing material. When I found the Robert E. Lee figure at WalMart, there were originally two there, labelled $20.00. But after checking the price and finding it was actually $10.00 I rushed back to get the second one, but it was gone... sigh... Don't ask why Hudson has black marks under his eyes... I guess since it helps with glare while playing football, it must have similar benefits to combat troops... the real reason is that I was just plain old short of unique heads at the time.

Chip's line is kind of an amalgam of a line by Tommy Lee Jones in Small Soldiers, and a line by Robert Duvall in Apocalypse Now. Chip Hazard is a Kenner figure, from the film Small Soldiers. This strange weapon is a repurposed GI Joe Hall Of Fame weapon, molded in a different color and given to the Chip Hazard figure, despite no such weapon appearing in the film. It is an underslung gattling cannon.

This is the articulated Alien from Alien: Resurrection. Doesn't he look great under the red lighting? Click here to see him in his box.

Here, Hazard runs for his life. How did I get him suspended in mid-run? Sean Dickinson is holding his rear foot out-of-shot. Here, we see Vasquez's abandoned heavy weapon. Didn't she drop that a while back? At the time I shot this, not much time had passed since Burger King had a huge Small Soldiers promotion, hence the line...

The Adventure Team watches in bewilderment as the rough and tough Chip Hazard chickens out. Famous line from Arnold Schwarzenegger in Terminator 2.

Previous Page | Next Page Sconces are made of plastic easter-eggs, the rounded half, cut in half, painted silver inside, green outside. The silver is meant to diffuse light upward. GENETRIX - just a random name to imply genetic research. Though the picture doesn't show it, the X is a double helix of atomic spheres. Light flare looks like something from Photoshop or Lightwave, but is actually how it appeared. Behind the sconce is a TapLight light. The moulding is plastic wall moulding painted semi-matte black. The moulding is plastic wall moulding painted semi-matte black. This door is cut into the foam-core for realism. It is non-functional, but looks real enough. Details on its construction can be found on the "Behind the Scenes" page. Click here to see how it was constructed. This is a model of the Pulse Rifle from the movie Aliens. It was part of a "Hicks vs. Aliens" 12" figure set produced by Kenner around 1997. This is a Classic Collection GI Joe with the head of Corporal Hicks, wearing the Marine outfit that came with the "Hicks vs. Aliens" toy set. Click here to see a larger picture of the set in its box. Clearly, Hicks expected more from the Adventure Team... The Commander, however, is undaunted...
