The nebula here is the Reflection Nebula in Orion. The TARDIS was shot on a table, and composited into this shot. I start at the right of shot.

The nebula here is the Reflection Nebula in Orion. The TARDIS drifts slowly to the left, and begins to dematerialize. The light comes on here. Click to hear the dematerialization.

The nebula here is the Reflection Nebula in Orion. The TARDIS is now almost completely dematerialized. The effect should be of the TARDIS drifting lazily.

Nothing like understatement to get a point across.

This is a park in Walpole, MA. Commonly called Bird Park, it may have another name. This section is kind of out-of-the-way, so we got few people walking through asking awkward questions. This is a lovely old bridge in Bird Park. I used it previously in a catalog shoot for the Sarah Foster Sweater Collection. Click here to see that shoot.

This part of the park is out-of-the-way and is less inclined to have curious onlookers walking by asking awkward questions. The TARDIS fades in. This is achieved the standard way by taking two pictures, one with and one without the TARDIS and fading them together. Comic-ese for the grinding sound the TARDIS is known to make while materializing.. Click to hear it.

And here we can see just how out-of-scale the bridge is to the TARDIS. I should have done forced perspective for this shot, but I chose not to.

I shot this in mottled tree coverage. This made for some interesting light conditions. In Doctor Who, all you ever see of the TARDIS interior from the outside is darkness. In my shoot, I change that. But not this shot. I forgot to composite in a picture of the TARDIS interior here. This hat is not seen on the rack in the TARDIS control room because I couldn't find it the night we shot the interiors. These boots are Jedi boots. They have some of the best boots!

TARDIS made entirely of Foam Core board. The stickers should have been blue, but stupid me didn't realize that. Click here to see the construction process. Not the most natural walking pose... sigh...
