This set is made mostly of foam-core, set on the carpeted floor of one of the converence rooms at Turbine Entertainment. I decided to set this at Heathrow Airport because it's well known, and Tegan has been here before, in Time-Flight. This is a Barbie suit, from Working Girl Barbie. It doesn't fit well, but looks professional. This prop has made an appearance before, in The Recruit. Click here to see that story. This is a Barbie computer based on the iMac. This little desk ornament/lamp is the holographic Death Star that came with an R2 figure from the Star Wars line. This espresso-maker is one of a series of refrigerator magnets based on appliances. This is expository. Since Jane doesn't look exactly like Tegan, I had to establish who this was. GI Jane Helicopter Pilot makes a fairly decent Tegan. A serious red-head. No, this is not a typo. The front counter is made from two colors of Foam-Core board, and trimmed with Matte board. Helen is a new character. She does not exist in the Doctor Who canon, but I needed Tegan to have a secretary with whom she could share casual conversation.

I made the flower box out of white card. The ribbon is balloon ribbon. Tegan's top belongs to Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Helen is wearing one of the Sarah Foster Sweater Collection. Click to see the catalog. Helen's head is actually Gabrielle, from the Xena series of action figures. The Barbie skirt has a big seam attached with velcro on the back. It never closed well. In this shot it's fine, but for rear shots, I had to rotate the skirt around so the seam was in front.

The logo is an alteration of the QANTAS. I curved the hypoteneuse of the triangle, and cut through the kangaroo. I added the atom for "QANTUM". These are miniature fake flowers I found at a craft store. I wanted them to be blue for two reasons. Blue roses don't exist in nature, and the TARDIS is blue. It was hard to make the top of the box just a millimeter larger than the bottom. The box even has an interesting end cut into it, similar to a real flower box, but it's hard to see. Green crepe paper simulates the paper typically used to wrap flowers. Gabrielle's head is adapted to fit Jane's body. Her head sits atop a Hasbro Viet Nam Nurse figure.
